As our school moved to a standards-based
grading system, WebGrader brought us far beyond our previous grade book
and report card models. The electronic record keeping tied directly to a
progress reporting tool was essential. Connecting that to our district
curriculum benchmarks and grade level proficiency levels allowed us to

Can WebGrader exchange data with a student
information system? Yes. WebGrader can receive student schedule
information, pre-populate teacher classes, and send student grades back
to the student information system.

Does WebGrader allow for standards-based
grading? Absolutely! WebGrader not only allows it, we
specialize in it. Many grade books try to use “categories” as a
work-around for standards-based grading. WebGrader uses state standards,
local standards, or a combination of both. You can attach those
standards or benchmarks directly to the assignment AND grade each
standard or benchmark individually.

Can parents monitor their children’s progress?
Yes. WebGrader is a hosted, web-based solution. Our parent portal allows
mom or dad to log in and see how his/her son or daughter is doing in
real time. Parents can even run a standards analysis report to see where
their children may need help. There is NO additional fee for this
service.

What about standards-based report
cards? WebGrader produces standards-based report cards
based on actual data from teachers’ grade books! More importantly,
WebGrader allows teachers to validate all grades by showing both average
and trending information on standards. This gives teachers critical
information to make an informed decision about each student’s
proficiency for each standard or benchmark.

students!
