Family Friendly Schools Plan

Goal 1: The high school will provide a safe, nurturing        environment.

• Traffic patterns have been improved with the addition of parking in the front of the school.

Evaluation: The school will track complaints about parking during school events.

Goal 2: The school will be accessible to parents.

• Mr. Millsaps will initiate coffee with the principal on a monthly basis to encourage parents to discuss topics of concern.

Evaluation: Sign in sheets will be maintained.

• The Hispanic liaison’s hours have been changed to address the needs of the high school for the liaison to translate and contact parents.

Evaluation: Records will be kept as he/she serves the Hispanic population.

• The Family Resource Center coordinates volunteer opportunities for members of the community.

Evaluation: A data base has been established to record the hours and activities of volunteers. An online system has been added.
