2023 - 2024 Chromebook Payment / Distribution & Data Verification

Parents and students, please read the following information carefully as it is imperative that you complete the Chromebook Insurance Payment and Intent to Return Verification as soon as possible. 

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER

July 17th – You can’t start the process of paying for your Chromebook Insurance or complete the student Intent to Return Verification until this date.

July 19th, 20th and 24th – All chromebooks will be issued for 3rd, 6th and 9th grade students from 8:30 – 5:30 at Lenoir City High School.  Please complete the student Intent to Return Verification before you arrive.  Details can be found in the information below.

August 1st – All other students must complete the warranty payment and the online Intent to Return Verification process by this date.

 

All students must pay for their Chromebook insurance, and complete the Intent to Return Verification, prior to the first day of school.  An insurance charge of $35.00 will be assessed for each device.  This insurance charge will cover any accidental damage to the Chromebook throughout the year.  If you wish to pay with a credit card you can complete the warranty purchase and sign all of the associated agreements online. If you do not have a credit card you can purchase a one time debit card at a local retail store to make the online payment of $35. If you use a prepaid debit card please be aware that a small fee will be assessed for using a card so you may want to build in a couple of extra dollars for that fee.

All of the required student and parent Chromebook agreement forms as well as the required student handbook agreement will be part of the Intent to Return Verification that families are also required to complete through their Skyward Family Access Accounts. Returning Student Data Verification will open in Skyward on July 17th, 2023.  

Please click here for specific instructions for setting up your online payment portal account and detailed information that will lead you step by step through the payment process. You will also need to complete the Intent to Return Form found here in Skyward Family Access. If you do not know your login information for Skyward Family Access, contact: skyadm@lenoircityschools.net anytime throughout the week.  

Students going into 3rd grade, 6th grade, and those entering 9th grade who attended Lenoir City Middle School will need to turn in their current Chromebook and charger when they come to pick up their new device.  New devices for students entering 3rd grade, 6th grade and 9th grade will be distributed on July 19th, 20th and 24th from 8:30 – 5:30 at Lenoir City High School.  Please enter the front door and you will be directed where to go from there. If you have not paid for your chromebook warranty you can pay that when you pick up the device.  July 19th, 20th and 24th are the only dates that chromebooks will be distributed so please mark your calendars now to attend.  If you have lost your charger, you will be assessed a $30 replacement fee. You can pay this fee through the online payment portal in Skyward Family Access; Once you login to Skyward, go to Fee Management, then it is listed under “optional fees.”     

 

The Family Resource Center (FRC) is open throughout the summer, and can also look up Skyward login information and do resets. You can contact the FRC at 865-986-0518  for service inEnglish, or 865-988-7256 for help in Spanish. FRC Summer hours are 9-3 Monday - Friday. 

 

All of the Chromebook and student handbook agreement forms have been built into the Intent to Return Verification.  This process should be completed prior to picking up a chromebook for students in 3rd grade, 6th grade or 9th grade.  

 

Students in all other grade levels who have not completed the Intent to Return Verification and Chromebook Warranty Payment process by registration day (August 1st) will have their Chromebooks turned off and will no longer have access to their devices.
