What is an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP)?

An individualized learning plan (ILP) is both a document and a process that students use – with support from school counselors, teachers, and parents – to define their specific program or strategy of education or learning. The ILP will take into consideration the student's strengths and weaknesses and will help inform the student’s decisions about their courses and activities throughout their school process.
