Let’s TALK
(Talk, Ask, Language, Knowledge)
Let's TALK is an 8-week early literacy program in which children, ages 2 years old to PreK, attend weekly sessions with their parent/guardian. During these sessions, the children participate in an interactive read-aloud as well as a physical activity, craft, and a healthy snack all based on the book. The sessions last for 1 hour, 1 day a week, and last for 8 weeks each semester. Your child will grow in their knowledge as well as social skills through interaction with other children in the program and help them be better prepared for Preschool. This program is sponsored by Tellico Village Kiwanis Club and Walmart.

Lending Library
Lending Library is a weekly program that allows kindergarteners to select and take home a book to share with parents and siblings. Kindergarten students go to the school’s Media Center but are not checking books out yet, Lending Library is a Family Resource Center program that allows Kindergarteners to check out books and share them with their family over the weekend.
Kindergarteners will select and check out a book weekly, on Thursdays, from book carts with the help of volunteers from the Kiwanis Club of Tellico Village, Pilot Club of Lenoir City and FRC staff. Your child should return the book on Monday or Tuesday of the following week in the folder that has been provided. If your book is late you will receive a late notice as a reminder to bring the book back as soon as possible. In some cases books get lost, if that happens just let us know. Guest Readers & Read Across America Day
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the guest readers from the Kiwanis Club of Tellico Village, as well as the numerous community members who participated in reading to our entire Lenoir City Elementary School during Read Across America Day in April!
