Health Insurance Information

ParTNers for Health Benefits Information:

Lenoir City Schools offers health insurance coverage through the state of Tennessee and dental & vision insurance through Ameritas. The district also offers supplemental insurance coverage through USAble. 

Medical plans to select from:

  • Premier Preferred Provider Organization, or PPO: Higher premiums, but lower out-of-pocket costs for your deductible, copays, and coinsurance.
  • Standard PPO: Lower premiums than the Premier PPO, but you’ll pay more out-of-pocket for your deductible, copays and coinsurance.
  • Limited PPO: Lower premiums than the other PPOs, but you’ll pay more out-of-pocket for your deductible, copays and coinsurance compared to the other PPOs.
  • Local Consumer-driven Health Plan with a Health Savings Account, or CDHP/HSA: Lowest premiums, but you pay your deductible first before the plan pays anything for most services, and then you pay coinsurance, not copays. Go to the CDHP/HSA page to learn more.

 

  • Benefit premium deductions are paid a month ahead and can only be added, changed, or canceled during open enrollment or due to a qualifying event due to marriage, divorce, loss of coverage, or birth/ adoption of a child. Please see Page 3 of the health insurance enrollment form for detailed information.

ID Cards: Newly enrolled members or members who make changes to their current health plan option will receive new ID cards. Members can request additional ID cards by contacting their carrier or by using the carrier’s mobile app.

Emotional Wellbeing Solutions ( formerly Employee Assistance Program):

Eligibility: EWS services are available to those enrolled in a Partners for Health medical plan, as well as benefits-eligible (not necessarily enrolled) dependents of employees and retirees who are enrolled through medical insurance.

Compliance:

  • As required by law, a Summary of Benefits and Coverage is available, which describes your 2024 health coverage options. The SBC may be found at TN- Partners of Health no later than Sept. 1. The digital newsletter contains much of the same information. To get a SBC paper copy, free of charge, call 855.809.0071. Please include your name, complete mailing address, and name of the SBCs you want: State and Higher Education Plan, Local Education Plan, or Local Government Plan.
  • The Plans are required by law to maintain the privacy of protected health information and to provide you with notice of our legal duties and privacy practices with respect to PHI.
